Electronics, Optics & Sensors

The EOS group at the Institute of environmental Physics, Univ. of Bremen, was formally established in the year 2000. Before, individual members of this group had been working for years in industry and science. The group represents many man-years of experience in the design of scientific and industrial instrumentation. The main areas used to be electronics and optics specialties as well as design and test of airborne and balloonborne sensors and components. In 2002, we added an optics metrology lab for radiometric calibrations of optical sensors, and an evaporation facility for optical coatings to our equipment, thus opening new fields of activity.
We provide technical support and calibration services to all experimental groups at the institute, but external cooperations are also possible.
In addition, we conduct our own scientific projects in the field of satellite validation, atmospheric chemistry studies and sensor development.
