- The research activities of the TROLAS group are basically defined by the scientific tasks of ongoing projects. Current main activities and corresponding projects (in parenthesis) can be summarised as follows:
- Analysis and publication of RO2* airborne data (AMMA, VERDRILLT)
- Analysis of ground based RO2* data obtained by using a DUALER in a complex area with significant organic input of biogenic origin. (DOMINO).
- Laboratory characterisation of new inlets and reactors for airborne measurements (REVOLVER)
- Optimisation of the OF-CEAS technique in combination with PerCA for NO2 detection and airborne determination of RO2* in the upper troposphere (REVOLVER)
- First evaluation of the airborne RO2* vertical distribution in the lower layers of the troposphere (up to 2-3 km) and its relation with the surface distribution of biogenic and anthropogenic emissions of organic precursors obtained within VERDRILLT
- Preparation of the participation in the measurement campaign of the OMO mission (Oxidative Mechanisms Observations) to make accurate measurement of peroxy radicals onboard the high altitude and long range aircraft HALO (PEACE).
