Title: Installation of the RAMAS-Instrument in Greenland and first results

During the last 2 years, a new microwave radiometer (RAMAS) has been developed by the RAM group of the IUP together with several European partners. The instrument was designed to measure several stratospheric trace gases, relevant for the ozone chemistry (e.g. O3, ClO, N2O, HNO3, HCN).

In summer 2003, the instrument has been brought up to Greenland and installed at Summit station.

This talk will present some details about the measurement principle and the technical design of the instrument. The current status of the instrument will be reported and some first measured spectra and retrieved profiles will be shown.
