The spectral measurements taken in channel 1a, UV 240–283 nm, are an exception to this sequence.

The light intensity at these short wavelengths is so reduced that 12 seconds are required to integrate the measurement. This time corresponds to eight standard 1.5 s pixels: E-C-W-B (6 s), E-C-W-B (6 s).

Note that the scan for channel 1a is carried out at the same time that the other channels are being scanned. It is not a separate scan procedure.
