Ring effect constant

Assuming as a first approximation that the number of Raman scattered photons is independent of wavelength and can be represented as a constant c, the resulting curve is I + c. Here we selected c to be about 4% of the average intensity, which is a realistic value for rotational Raman scattering.

The inset contains an enlarged section of the curves to show the differences between them.
