Computing the ratio of ln ((I + c) / I) generates a curve that simulates the result of the rotational Raman scattering of the Ring effect. This pseudo-absorber curve can be fitted to earthshine spectra and will remove the Ring effect from them.

Comparing the irradiance curve and the pseudo-absorber, it can be seen that the pseudo-absorber curve will

This behaviour corresponds to the behaviour we noted when discussing the filling-in effect of rotational Raman scattering on absorption lines.
