Burrows -Last meeting battle for funding -Status of validation teams presented today -ENVISAT launch not before December Overview ESA and SCIAVALIG validation activities: A. Piters - Main SCIAMACHY validation website of SCIAVALIG: http://www.knmi.nl/sciamachy-validation - Important: After SCIAMACHY SODAP phase (L - L+4 month) 2 weeks with special states will be performed, conflicts with validation campaigs schedules have to be avoided. - Distribution of LV1-data will be done on EXABYTES: check for availability of drives - A.I. Explain ESA-ACVT Structure : See attachement Overview Dutch validation activities: A. Piters Overview German Validation activities: T. Wagner Overview Belgian Validation activities: J.C. Lambert Funding status: Agency not present. - Additional funding because of launch delay - Longterm validation needed - J.P. Burrows: Prepare for extension before launch, deliver right after launch - U. Platt: Meeting right after launch to coordinate extensions and add ons Individual contributions will be presented in the Handbook. Discussion of Second Rehearsal: K. Bramstedt - NILU worked good, MetaData have to be clarified - USF still needs many improvements - !! USF will not be available during Commisioning phase, instead orders will be coordinated by the ACVT subgroupleaders - ENVIVIEW (ENVISAT data extraction tool) to slow, many bugs, not available to export/plot data against geolocation - Next ENIVVIEW to be expected End of September Summary: Launch: End of Nov. - Dec. 2001 (or later?!?) ESA should inform SCIAVALIG PIs about their decisions concerning any change without delay => Letter to ESA (U. Platt or J.P. Burrows Balloon: Ready, schedule problems Ground/Ship: Ready Aircraft: (expected to be) ready Satellite: Ready Data base issues: Plot routines need to be discussed (better routines required?!) Exabyth drives are needed 3 pages summary of every sub-contractor should be provided for the German Validation Document and the German website.
