ESA Rocket and Balloon Symposium, 2003
The 16th ESA Symposium on European Rocket and Balloon Programmes and Related
Research took place from 2 to 5 June 2003 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It
was the continuation of a series of symposia arranged since 1973 to advance
the progress in scientific disciplines utilising sounding rockets, balloons
and ground-based techniques. These symposia have become widely recognised
occasions for efficient communication between scientists, engineers, projects
managers and administrators.
The groups of the German SCIAMACHY validation team utilizing balloon- and
airborne techniques participated with important contributions based on the
measurements taken in the framework of the validation projects. Following
presentations were given on the symposium:
