Earth science, with special emphasis on the Earth's atmospheric chemistry and dynamics.
Experience so far includes atmospheric remote sensing and measurement and modelling of trace gases related to stratospheric ozone depletion.
At the moment, I work on model studies with the SLIMCAT 2D chemical-dynamical-radiative model. Special emphasis is put on investigating the influence of extra-terrestrial charged particles - electrons, protons and heavier nuclei from solar proton events or galactic cosmic rays - on the stratospheric and mesospheric composition. This work is part of the PALEOZONE project.
