ARGO is a new network of floating measurement platforms. Designed to measure some properties of interest, mainly salinity, temperature, pressure and oxygen, this floats provide oceanographers with valuable data from the oceans interieur. This network is actually working at about 50% of its final capacity, but the data is yet interesting. Here we will explain the functions of ARGO, present some data and associated problems and present the new AMLoK-algorithm for solving some of them.
