Cloud Aerosol Surface PArameter Retrieval
The research group at the University of Bremen is engaged in aerosol, cloud and surface studies using optical sensors data from different satellite instruments (e. g., MERIS, MODIS, SeaWiFS). The main theoretical basis for our research is the radiative transfer theory and electromagnetic scattering theory.
In March 2019 Prof. Dr. Wolfgang von Hoyningen Huene passed away. We have lost a friend and esteemed colleague. We miss him very much.
The group is a member of the special research field (Sonderforschungsbereich, Transregio 172 "Arktische Klimaveränderungen" (SFB/TR 172)- (AC)3, http://ac3-tr.de/ to investigate climate change in the Arctic environment. Currently we are preparing the proposal for phase II of (AC)3.
