Campaigns

MAMAP gridded data of XCO2 for two coal fired power plants. The colored contour lines show the results of a Gaussian plume inversion to obtain the CO2 emission rates. The solid black lines indicate the boundaries chosen for the alternative Gaussian integral approach. For more details see Krings et al (2011).

Preliminary results obtained over the power plants Jänschwalde (upper) and Schwarze Pumpe (lower) showing the improved sensor performance of MAMAP. Improved precision of ~ 0.6 % (2σ) for XCO2(CH4) was achieved on scales with ~ 10 km of diameter through the introduction of a spatial scrambler unit in the optical path of the instrument (for more details see also Gerilowski et al. 2011).
