M-factor Data Base
The short-term m-factor data base consists of an archive
of daily
m-factor files. Each m-factor file is an ASCII file
formatted according
to the ENVISAT Product Specification.
The data base covers the whole mission:
02-Aug-2002 until 12-Feb-2012.
The m-factor version is
7.01, valid for Level 1b products version 7.xx. Click
here
for the release notes.
Notes:
- M-factors
should be applied to Level 1b data of
the same major version number only.
- The m-factor data base is a (gzipped) tar archive
which has a size of about 959 MB.
The current database is
m-factor_07.01-20120415.tgz.

NRT M-factors
(OUTDATED!)
These data are no longer needed!
NRT (near-real-time) M-factors are calculated based on NRT
Level 1b
data products. They are (usually) released once per week.
Each release
adds calculated m-factor files for the previous week and
predicted
m-factor files for the following week to the database. The
predicted
m-factors will not be choosen by the
applicator,
if
calculated
m-factors
already
available.
Each
release
goes
along with
a
delivery document
(MF_delivery_yyyymmdd.pdf).
Click
here to enter the directory
with NRT
m-factors, valid for Level 1b products version 7.xx. The
m-factor
files itself are in the subdirectory
V07.01.
The
delivery
documents
are
in
the
subdirectory
Delivery_document_07.01.
NRT m-factors
contained
erroneous values for channel 6,7, and 8 for the
time frame 04 February 2010 - 6 April 2010. They are
replaced by
corrected versions 08 April 2010.
