M-factors: News
17 August 2015
- One m-factor archive for the whole mission has been
added to the download page.
09 May 2012
- The communication with the Envisat satellite was lost
8 April 2012. After one month of attempts to recover
ENVISAT following the anomaly from April 8th, ESA has
today declared the ENVISAT mission ended.
30 November 2010
- M-factor plots for the last 4 weeks and median plots
for the measurements used in the m-factor calculation
are added to the web-page.
10 November 2010
- EnviSat has successfully changed
the orbit with three manoeuvres from 22 October to
4 November 2010.
- The new orbit required a S/W update in the m-factor
setup. Unfortunately, the first version of the update
introduced a problem with the validity start time of the
m-factor files:
25 Oct - 01 Nov: The validity start time is ~1.5
days before the measurements.
02 Nov - 07 Nov: The validity start time is ~0.5
days before the measurements.
08 Nov onwards: The validity start time in nominal
mode
No impact for users is expected, because changes in
m-factors in this time range are not significant.
08 April 2010
- NRT m-factors contained erroneous values for channel
6,7, and 8 for the time frame 04 February 2010 - 6 April
2010. They are today replaced by corrected versions.
- The V7.01 database has been extended to 08 February
2010, covering now the complete period for the upcoming
re-processing of SCIAMACHY data.
18 March 2010
- V6.01 are now complete in the m-factor data base. The
NRT V6.01 are therefore removed from this page.
04 February 2010
- Release of V7.01 m-factors, aligned with the NRT V7
L0-1b processor activation.
- First NRT V7.01 m-factors will be available 09
February 2010.
08 April 2008
- Release of V6.01 m-factors.
- Availability of NRT m-factors.
17 July 2007
- First release of m-factor data (V6.00) and
accompanying documentation for impact studies.
