On the 13. March 2018 Academia Sinica and Air Asia organised a press conference in Tainan to present EMeRGe in Asia. The reporters arrived in the afternoon and the press conference started at 15:00 local time, followed by an aircraft tour from 15:40 - 16:00. The EMeRGe team is very grateful to the given opportunity to present our project and the fruitful collaboration with our Taiwanese partners and colleagues.

[Taiwan, Germany join forces to tackle air pollution]

While the scientific world follows the HALO mission the most importat event of the day happened below a container (at least from the view of two animals). Our EMeRGe colleague Voltaire Velasco sent a picture of the two baby goats which were born yesterday under the TCCON container in Burgos, Philippines, after the HALO overpass. He named them HALO and EMeRGe!

HALO arrived at the airbase for EMeRGe in Tainan at 11:30 UTC (19:30 local time) after succesfully completing the third leg of the transfer flight.

The second leg of the tranfer flight was completed today. HALO safely landed around 12 UTC in U-Tapao, Thailand. Tomorrow HALO will take off for the final leg to Tainan, Taiwan.
